Reflection

What I've Learnt in this Module

This module was an amazing experience and I learned a lot from it. Whether it be on principles and concepts like chiarascuro of the fluidity of a webtoon, everything a well put together. However, I feel like the most major thing I learned and will actually remember a long time is how to use Adobe Illustrator. All the trial and errors, the confusion, sweat an tears and in the end seeing the result was definitely something worthwhile.

What I Enjoyed the Most

To be honest, I actually enjoyed the Vormator Challenge the most, not only did it made me thinking how to use the limited shapes, it allows brought it a lot of creativity. Besides that, I am also very interested in card games, and actually had a collection (it went missing when I moved to Malaysia). So, it was a very enjoyable journey.

There was also no animation involved. ( ͡♥ ͜ʖ ͡♥).

What I did not Enjoy the Most

Anything that involves animation. I just can't do it. I don't understand it no matter how many times I see Ms Jennifer do it. However, the still ones, like the poster (not the animated one) and the graphic novel was enjoyable.

What I've Learnt About Myself from this Module

I. Am. Really. Bad. At. Animation.

And I need to work on it if I am to succeed in this degree (and the future).

What had changed and What Has Not in My Learning Journey

What has not changed is my terrible time- management skills. I still get disctracted easily and end up procractinating a lot of work. What has not changed is my skills in Adobe Illustrator, as much as I dislike using the software, I can understand its benefits and how I can make use of it in the future.

Suggestions for This Module

Not really much. I like a lot of aspects of it, from start to finish you can tel that it's quite literally forcing you to learn the softwares (which is essential since this is a core module). Although I do feel like a face to face class would be much better than doing it online.
