UX Design Brief:
Task
After creating our groups in Week 1, we decided to start on the overall fashion niche we wanted to sell. With some discussion, platform boots was chosen as our product.

With that in mind, our target audience would be fashionable teenagers or adults who often like to express themselves through their outfits. Since our product brings gore, style and dollish features, we decided to name our brand "KawaiiCrypt", Kawaii, meaning cute in Japanese and Crypt, meaning an underground room or vault.
Afterwards, we created the art direction for the brand, i.e. font, colour palette, etc. We first compiled 2 different art directions on Miro. One being of solid, colourful themes, while the other being of hazy, euphoric theme.

Besides the art direction, we also compiled 4 user personas, their empathy maps and also the user journey of each one. Full version here: https://miro.com/app/board/uXjVMqeZ9_Q=/?share_link_id=153377208997

Fig 1.4 User Personas |
For the personas, we have an intern who wants to showcase her individuality, but is very sensitive to sales and will buy items during sales only. Besides that, we have a drag queen who often uses platform boots in her performances. Next, we have a working adult who is financially stable who is concerned about sizing, shipping delays and the quality of boots. Lastly we have an influencer who ften scouts for unique fashion pieces to feature in her content while also considering the quality of the product.

Fig 1.5 Empathy Map |
For the empathy map, we had a few sections, which were: says, thinks, does, feels, pains and gains.
For the user journey map, we focused on multiple stages which were, awareness, research/consideration, decision, service/delivery and post purchase.
After the research parts were done, we began creating the wireframes for our application with Figma.

Feedback
- Need to confirm again what resilience means in your user persona
- Overall personas, empathy map and user journey map are okay
- The "tinder" feature on your application is very interesting
- Typeface for the title text needs to be adjusted
Reflection
Researching on user personas and creating their empathy map was definitely one of the harder parts of this task, as it involves a lot of empathy. Fortunately, the persona I was tasked with came really close to home as I have multiple friends who are like them. Hence, I was able to use my own personal observations on my friends to create Emily Chen.
Besides that, this was the first time I've used Figma in my life, hence it was a bit hard at the start to get used to it. However, a few YouTube tutorials later I was able to grasp the way Figma works.
