UX Design Brief:
Task
After our presentation on Week 7, my team and I continued to work on the application. During Week 9, we started off by finalising all the pages needed in the wireframe. With the wireframes completed, my team started compiling the assets required in the app. For example, product photos, product details, backgrounds, icons, etc.
I took up the job of creating backgrounds for the app as I couldn't find good hazy, euphoric themed ones on stock photos.
Here are some examples of what I made:

After all the assets are compiled, we moved on to actually creating the application. At the start, we only use the main colours pink, black and purple, but after some testing we noticed that the buttons weren't really popping out. Hence, we decided to add a new secondary colour, turquoise into the mix.

After some thought and inspiration from other groups, I had the idea of using photo scanning to enhance user experience. Initially our application only allowed story sharing, but after some thinking I realised we could add a feature where users can scan the items in the person's stories and get the product details. Besides that, we also added a profile "my measurements" section that allows the app to intuitively.

With some effort we managed to finish the prototype by Week 11. From there, we started doing the interactions and animations in the application.

On Week 13, we started the user testing phase, which includes interviews and a ux survey of our app. After all the data was completed, we compile everything into our final presentation slides.

Feedback
- The new font for title text is good
- Plexi glass vibes and your wallpaper mixes well, following the art direction in your moodboard
- Story scan feature is nice, something new the users will like
Reflection
I had a lot of fun doing this module despite being completely in the unknown when it comes to application design. I now know the intricasies behind a ux designer's mind, especially on how buttons are supposed to look, how icons are supposed to respond, etc.
Moreover, I found that sometimes, we, as designers miss out on certain details, for example, one of our interviewees mentioned that the buttons in our bag page was too small. I wouldn't have realised it if they didn't tell me. There are also times where I assumed our users would be able to understand how something works, but they end up getting lost. Then I realised the reason I know what this is meant to do is because in my industry we were taught how it's supposed to work. However, this mindset is wrong because other people do not have the same experience as I have.
I believe that this module has taught me a lot and I will definitely use what I learned here in my future workplace.
