Instructions
Task
For this assignment, we were told to move our dissertation into an ebook format, whereby we had to think of its visual design. I started off going throguh Pinterest and Behance for inspiration on how the layout will look.

The plan I had for this dissertation was to involve huge illustrations that are in line with the "comic book" theme. The above photo was a good reference to what I had in mind.

Besides that, since it will contain lots of illustrations, colouring would play an important role in balancing out the design while also giving the reader some breathing space. Figure 1.2 was a good example to how I could make that happen.

After the decisions were made, I moved to Canva to create the visual design of the ebook. I chose Canva because it contains a lot of illustrations and it's fairly easy to navigate.
After submitting the visual design, I reread the document version again and found some places that require changes. After completing the adjustments, I submitted the final dissertation to TURNITIN to recieve the index similarity report. I was happy that my dissertation only had 5% similarity (that means I don't have to redo the paper again!!)

- Can look through Pinterest, Behance, etc and works from published authors
Week 10
- Provide suitable breathing room for each section
Week 11
- Finalise your dissertation, keep an eye out for the similarity rating
- Similarity cannot be more than 15%
Week 12
- Submit visual design by next week
Reflection
This part of the assignment was quite fun as I was able ot unleash my creativity to design the ebook. The skills I learned in Advanced Typography were really useful here as it involves creating layouts that can attract the viewer's attention and direct their eyes to wher you want them to see. Nevertheless, I feel like I wasn't the best at managing my time when creating the visual design, mainly because I didn't expect it to take so long (although it might be due to my indecisiveness), but all in all I managed to go according to schedule with the final dissertation (doc form).
