Task

For the critical review, were were tasked to compile 5 different journal articles from various researchers with main discussions relating to the topic at hand. As change is the only constant, I first filtered out the articles based on the year it was published, so the information gathered would not be outdated. However, since my specialisation does not touch on technology, she decided to loosen the publishing dates to 2017 and above. 

The structure, methodology, reasoning, logical flow and conclusion had to be analysed and recorded in Mendeley to be used in the final submission.

Week 4

• Critical Review - min 5 journals
• Can be not of the same topic, but it’ll be best if it aligns with the research so you can use it

Week 5

• Make sure to use mendeley to write comments and short summary on the articles
• Proposal:
• Add more content for the problem statement, make sure to find a gap to fill
• Add 1 more research objective
• Fix APA referencing (add indent)

Week 6

• Use the format as given in the examples.

Week 7

• Conference paper is okay

Reflection

For this project, it took a long time for me to find the right resources as my topic was very niche. Besides that, I was also quite confused with the final compilation of the project. Reason being, before the lecturer posted examples, I had already followed templates from my seniors. Unfortunately, they were very different and it took time for me to rearrange everything following the right format.

Besides that, I was also introduced to Mendeley. Although, I much prefer using an iPad to hightlight and jot notes, I can't deny that Mendeley does have its own perks. Also, note to self, Taylor's library only allows book requests if you are a post-graduate student.
