Warm vs Cool

  • Warm Colours
    • Often evokes feelings of happiness, optimism and energy.
    • Yellow, red and orange can also have an attention grabbing effect
      • Danger/ Make you take action
  • Cool colours
    • Usually calming and soothing but can also express sadness
    • Purple is often used to spark creativity as it's a mixture of blue (calm) and red (intense).

Black and White

  • Black
    • Often used sparringly - text
    • Works quite well as a pirmary colour element (like for backgrounds)
    • Adds an air of sophistication and elegance
    • Adds mystery, though with much bolder confidence.
  • White
    • As primary, white gives off an impresssion of clean, virtuous and healthy.
    • Pairs with just about everything, making it as an ideal secondary colour.

Reflection

Same as the exercise last week, we had to recolour b&w photos as well, although we had more choices this time around. This project was delayed quite a lot because I was finishing up assignments from other modules. Althought recolouring it didn't take too much time, I still ended up submitting this late (should rethink my time-manegment skills).
