Biography
Intro
Sabahan born and bred who enjoys travelling and being around animals. As a kid, I have always wanted a pet, but due to the type of housing lot I was in, there was not enough space for us to get one. My parents worked hard for the family and on 2016 (when I was 16), we finally moved into a bigger home. With the ample amount of space we have, we started to adopt puppies and stray dogs we come across - we have 10 dogs at home now.
Paragraph 1
I love animals and I believe that animals are way better than humans. Especially dogs. We don’t deserve them. The brings happiness into our lives without asking for anything but food enough for the day. They forgive, protect and are loyal to us, which are characteristics a lot of people don’t have. My dream is to have enough money to create my own shelter, to give all the strays a place to call home, where they are safe, loved and fed well.
Paragraph 2
My mother is my inspiration. She is what me and my family call the ‘walking pet clinic’. She’s not a vet or anything, but everytime we go out, she would always keep a small bag of dog food with her in the car - sometimes even in her bag. If by chance, we met with any strays on the road, she would take it out and feed them. If she met dogs that were injured, she would bring them to the local vet to be taken care of, paying all the cost needed to ensure that they are healthy again.
Summary
I want to create work that shows me picking up dogs around the world, as one of my missions.
Work Statement
Intro
Since I want to bring all the dogs together in one roof, I wanted to create a work that shows be going around the world and ‘abducting’ them one by one. It’s more to the light hearted side of design, with the ending having a title that says, ‘mission complete’.
Paragraph 1
The concept is something like chicken little. The scene where the sky is falling and they get abducted by aliens. However, it’s bm abducting stray dogs and bringing them with me to an adventure - providing them a safe place to live, sleep and play, where they are loved and taken cared of.
Paragraph 2
I want people to be aware of the term ‘adoption’. These days, most people just buy dogs from breeders, when there’s one perfectly fine dog straying around right outside their home.

I first took photos of myself and my dogs. Afterwards, I went to Adobe Stock to find pictures of UFOs I could use. However, most of them only have the bottom part of the UFO, so I decided to use the picture of a glass ball as the capsule on my UFO:

Luckily I was able to find a glass ball with almost the same colour scheme as my chosen background.
Next, I added the "MISSION COMPLETE" and some numbers onto the poster.

Part 3: Execution and Post Production

I decided to make my self move from the middle, to the left and to the right, while kidnapping dogs along the way.

After rendering out the video, I noticed that it looked wash up on my screen, I tried to redo it but it still looked the same. In the end I tried checking on my phone screen and it looks normal. So, I just went with it.

If I had all the money in the world, I would definitely contribute to creating a shelter for strays. I love dogs, and I have 10 dogs at home. Seeing strays walking around the city, starving and not having a place to call home pains me.

Feedback
- Idea 1 is good.
- Remember to do colour corrections on your photos.
- The glow effect is cool! You may proceed to you animation. Just make it simple animation will be fine.
Reflection
This assignment was quite funny to do, mainly because of the whole 'kidnapping dogs with a UFO' concept I had. Nonetheless, I learned a lot with this project, but most of it is in After Effects. I can't say that my animation is good, it's below average in my opinion. But hey, that's a learning process I suppose. I will definitely try and improve my AE skills in my own time.
