Idea Exploration and Description
Digital Imaging Exercise 1 - Photo Manipulation
Part 1 Shazam
I followed the tutorials notes on how to process the image to create a reflection. Firstly, I cropped out shazam's body from his main poster and placed it in the hearst mansion project (a layer on top). Then I resized and positioned it to make it look as natural as possible, i.e since his back looks like its leaning against something, placing it nearer to the wall would be best. After some adjustments in terms of colour, I made a new layer with Shazam and flipped in vertically to make the reflection. Some blur was added to increase the affect of a "reflection".
Part 2 My Reflection
To make it look as realistic as possible, I used the same pose as Shazam and leaned my body on a wall. It took a few tries but I managed to tak eone that suits the project.

Digital Imaging Exercise 2 - Recoloring Black & White
Process:

I first started with a lighter shade of brown for her skin tone. However, after switching the layer mode to overlay, it looked a little too highlighted for my taste. So, I added another layer on top with a darker shade and merged it with the original layer with the lighter shade.

After some more adjustments with her skin tone, I was finally content with how it looked. Afterwards was the recoloring of her other attributes, e.g. hair, eyes, etc.

When main body colour was done, I coloured in the background. I chose a turqoise colour because it suited their her eyes.

Reflection
This porject was quite fun to do as it allows me to manipulate photos in a way that I never thought of. As usual, Mr Fauzi showed us the tips and tricks to finishing our assignment so everything would run smoothly. I was a bit late in turning in the Hearst Mansion exercise and he was also very patient with me, although it did cost me from getting feedback ಥ_ಥ. Mental Note: Arrange your time well to make sure you can submit on time even though circumstances aren't helping.
